Philips Norelco Multi Groomer MG3750/50
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Most people probably don’t need a pricey trimmer to look after their groin area with. Philips Norelco MG3750/50 thereby is a good choice of a pubic hair trimmer.
However, in spite of being very inexpensive, this Philips trimmer offers plenty of value.
Let’s begin with the fact that this trimmer comes with 13 pieces for your grooming needs. To be fair, you may not even need most of them, but it still is nice to have so many attachments with a trimmer.
Philips includes the trimmer itself, a precision trimmer head, a nose & ear hair trimmer, 3 beard trimming guards, 3 hair trimming guards, a stubble guard, a cleaning brush, and an accessory storage bag. While some of the attachments aren’t designed for pubic hair, you may find a use for them.
All the attachments coming with the MG3750 groomer are removable and waterproof, so you should be able to clean them easily.
Philips MG3750 operates on a battery with about 60-minute runtime. With the included charger, you’ll need to wait for about 8 hours to fully recharge the battery, which is quite slow when compared to most of the other trimmers we examined. On the other hand, the charger works with 100 – 240V currents, so it can be used when traveling.
Now, let’s move on to the downsides of this trimmer.
First off, MG3750 isn’t waterproof, so it can’t be used in the shower. This is a typical thing for cheaper trimmers.
Secondly, you get what you pay for: the included attachments are rather flimsy, and the trimmer probably won’t be lasting very long. However, it could last pretty long given that you’ll be using it only for trimming pubic hair.
Lastly, Philips MG3750 doesn’t have a battery indicator, so you can’t reliably know when to charge it.
Pros
- Comes with 13 trimmer pieces.
- inexpensive
- Washable attachments.
- Auto 100 – 240V charger.
Cons
- No charge indicator.
- Probably won’t last very long.
- Not waterproof.

Remington PG525 Groomer Kit
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Remington PG525 offers about the same features as Philips MG3750, but it is a bit more convenient. It is slightly more expensive as well, but it still is a rather cheap trimmer.
When it comes to versatility, PG525 is comparable with MG3750. It comes with 8 attachments – the trimmer; a foil shaver; noise, ear, and detail trimmer; hair clipper comb; 3 beard & stubble combs; and a vertical body hair trimmer – so it may be less flexible than Philips’ trimmer. However, this still is more than enough for trimming pubic hair.
PG525 also operates on a battery, but it is a better kind of a battery. It has a 70-minute runtime and recharges in only about 4 hours, in half the time it takes MG3750 to recharge. And there is also a charge indicator on the trimmer. However, the charging base of this trimmer only works with 120V, so it can’t be used in many places abroad.
Speaking of the charging base, it also serves as an accessory organizer, so you will be able to keep all the attachments in one place.
When it comes to downsides, PG525 almost shares them with MG3750. This trimmer isn’t waterproof, so no trimming in the shower for you. And besides, it is flimsy, which is expectable at this price.
Pros:
- inexpensive
- Has a battery charge indicator.
- Washable attachments.
- Comes with an attachment stand.
Cons:
- Isn’t waterproof.
- Flimsy

Philips Norelco Bodygroomer BG1026/60
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
If you don’t want any fancy accessories with a trimmer, then Philips Norelco Bodygroomer BG1026/60 might be the best pick for you.
As the name suggests, this trimmer is specifically designed for body grooming. It doesn’t come with anything excessive: just the trimmer itself, one AA battery, and a 3mm comb to trim longer hair.
As you could have noticed, Body groomer BG1026 operates on an AA battery. This is good because you can stock up on AA batteries and use the groomer anywhere you wish or need. And you won’t need to bother with packing any chargers for this thing. However, you need to spend money on the batteries, albeit not very much.
Philips says on their product page that the included AA battery can be used for up to 2 months. This will depend on how frequently you trim your groin, so you may get more or less lifetime from it.
When it comes to trimming performance, Body groomer BG1026 is pretty good. But don’t expect it to deal with long and hard hair effectively: it doesn’t have the power for it, so you may need to shorten your pubic hair before the actual trimming. If you don’t have much hair though, you probably won’t have to worry about that.
The head of this trimmer is bi-directional, so it can be moved back and forth to trim in both directions. The head of the Body groomer is also equipped with a skin protector guard, so this trimmer should keep your skin safe even if it is sensitive.
The thing that you may like about this trimmer the most is that it is showerproof, which is, in our opinion, a mandatory thing for a body trimmer. So yeah, you could safely use this thing to trim your manly areas.
Pros:
- Cuts in both directions.
- Showerproof
- Has a skin protector for sensitive areas.
Cons:
- Lacks power.

Remington PG6250 Trimmer
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Remington PG6250 isn’t as accessory-rich as the PG525 trimmer we reviewed earlier. However, it comes with as many attachments as one would need to trim their pubic area.
PG6250 full-size trimmer comes with a standard trimmer head, a body trimmer head, and 5 length combs that could come in handy for shortening pubic hair. And you may really need to shorten the hair beforehand with this trimmer, and we’ll explain why a bit later.
Unlike its cheaper counterpart, PG6250 is showerproof, so you could save your time by showering and trimming simultaneously. Besides, cleaning the trimmer will be easier.
PG6250 trimmer also has a non-slip rubber grip, and that’s a really great thing given that you’ll be using this trimmer in the shower. The trimmer will get wet, but you’ll be able to grip onto the rubber grip securely enough not to let the device slip out of your hands.
In terms of battery life, PG6250 appears to be identical to PG525. It has a 70-minute runtime and charges in 4 hours. In addition, it has a charge level indicator. PG6250’s charger also works with 120V only, so keep that in mind.
This is all pretty good, but there are two downsides in PG6250 that should be noted.
First of all, this thing lacks power and thus doesn’t trim long and hard hair very well. This is the reason why you may need to shorten your pubic hair before trimming.
And besides, the blades of PG6250 tend to get hot quickly, so you may need to do the trimming intermittently.
Pros:
- Non-slip rubber grip.
- Showerproof
- Includes 5 combs.
Cons:
- Not very powerful.
- The blades get hot during use.

Philips Norelco Bodygroomer BG2040/49
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Philips Norelco Bodygroomer BG2040/49 is the pricier version of the BG1026 we examined a bit earlier. BG2040 is very similar to its cheaper counterpart, but it actually is much better.
First off, this model comes with a 3D pivoting head, which wasn’t a thing that the BG1026 had. You’ve probably experienced the hassle of angling a trimmer in the right way so you don’t harm your groin area while trimming. Thanks to the pivoting head, you won’t need to worry about that as much.
You can’t trim in both ways with the BG2040 like you could with the BG1026, but we think that the 3D pivoting head makes up for it.
If you didn’t notice, Bodygroomer BG2040 is actually a dual-side trimmer: you can shave with its one end and trim with the other without swapping any accessories. In addition, this means that you could use BG2040 for other body parts as well.
While you may not actually need the shaving capabilities of BG2040, it is worth noting that its shaving head is made from hypo-allergenic materials, so even those with very sensitive skin should be able to easily use this trimmer.
As you’d probably expect from a trimmer with such a price tag, the Bodygroomer BG2040 is waterproof and can be safely used in the shower.
Unlike the BG1026, BG2040 operates on a battery. The battery life of this trimmer isn’t that long – just 50 minutes – but it charges in just 1 hour, much quicker than most of the other trimmers do. This definitely is a big plus in our book.
However, the charger appears to be a bit flimsy and annoyingly unstable, which is the main downside of this trimmer.
Otherwise, in spite of its higher price, Bodygroomer BG2040 really is a great trimmer.
Pros:
- 3D pivoting head.
- Hypoallergenic skin-protecting shaver.
- Showerproof
- Charges in just 1 hour.
Cons:
- Flimsy charging stand.

Remington PG6025 All-in-1 Lithium Powered Grooming Kit
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Remington PG6025 is yet another jack-of-all-trades inexpensive trimmer. This trimmer is cheaper than the PG6250 we examined a bit earlier, but it looks more versatile out of the box.
PG6025 can be used in 14 different ways thanks to its included accessories: it comes with a trimmer; a nose, ear, & detail trimmer; 8-length hair clipper comb; 3 snap-on beard and stubble combs; and a detail shaver. Again, these aren’t the things that we’re looking for in our review, but they may be useful for you.
Every attachment coming with this trimmer is washable, which can’t be said about the trimmer itself: it isn’t waterproof, so it can’t be used while showering.
PG6025 comes with a pretty good Li-Ion battery with a 65-minute runtime, which should be more than enough for the trimming.
It also comes with a charger that recharges the battery in 4 hours, which is alright as well. However, it only works with 120V standard US current, so it can’t really be used abroad.
Pros:
- 14 shaving and trimming settings.
- Cheaper than most alternatives
- Washable attachments.
Cons:
- Not waterproof.

Philips Norelco OneBlade QP2630/70 Face + Body Hybrid Trimmer Shaver
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Yet another Philips trimmer on our reviews! This one is quite a bit different though.
On the first look, you may think that QP2630 is actually just a razor. It is indeed very close to a razor, but it isn’t one.
OneBlade QP2630 is designed to shave not as close to the skin as regular razors do, which makes it perform in between trimmers and shavers. That’s why Philips calls this product a hybrid trimmer and shaver.
And while this thing won’t be giving you a clean shave, it is a much better choice for men whose skin gets easily irritated from shaving.
Philips includes two blades with this trimmer – one for face and one for body trimming. In addition, they include 4 combs and a skin guard to help you trim your man areas more safely and evenly.
Needless to say, this trimmer is waterproof, so it could be safely used in the shower. Aside from that, QP2630 operates on a battery with 60-minute runtime and 4-hour charge time. Interestingly, the included charger works with 100 – 240V currents, so this trimmer can also be used while traveling.
The main downside of this trimmer is the blades. Not that they are bad: they are able to do their job perfectly. The thing is that you’ll need to replace them, just like in any regular razor.
Philips writes that the blades can be used for up to 4 months if used for full face shaving twice per week, but the actual lifetime will vary. And you’ll sooner or later have to think about getting new blades, which are rather pricey.
Pros:
- Comes with separate blades for the face and body.
- Swiveling shaving head.
- Waterproof
- Includes click-on skin guards.
- Automatic 100 – 240V voltage.
Cons:
- Requires blade replacement.
- The blades are pricey.

Gillette Fusion ProGlide Men’s 3-In-1 Razor Styler
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Being one of the most renowned, if not the most renowned razor manufacturer in the world, Gillette also has something to offer for the groin area. The name of that “something” is Fusion ProgGlide Styler. For an attractive price, you get a trimmer that works well for both facial and body hair.
As it is, the ProGlide Styler is a trimmer. With the included 3 combs, it can be used to trim hair of various length. And this is the thing that you’d want to have for trimming the sensitive pubic area.
For those who love Gillette razors, Gillette included 1 ProGlide Power Cartridge, which includes a Gillette Fusion blade and an adapter for the trimmer. The Fusion blade included with this trimmer is identical to those that you’d find in regular Gillette razors, which means that you could use any type of Fusion blades with
Gillette ProGlide Styler is also designed to be waterproof, so you could safely use it in the shower.
Gillette also kindly includes a small organizer for this trimmer, so you could keep all its items organized in one place.
ProGlide Styler really is a great trimmer, but it has one downside: it lacks power, especially when its AA battery is low on charge.
Now, this doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to do trimming with it well. You will, but the trimmer doesn’t work very well with thick and long hair, so you’ll need to take your time.
Pros:
- Waterproof
- Comes with a Gillette Fusion blade.
- 3 combs included.
- Comes with an organizer.
Cons:
- Doesn’t work well with long hair.
- Doesn’t have much power.

MANGROOMER Ultimate Pro Back Shaver
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Mangroomer Ultimate Pro Back Shaver is one of the most remarkable trimmers on our reviews. And also one of the weirdest. Just have a look at it!
As suggested by the name, this trimmer has been specifically designed for back shaving. However, we think that it is suitable for groin trimming as well.
The main reason for this is the swiveling trimming head of the Pro Back Shaver. It swivels back and forth and left and right, so you won’t have to twist too much when trimming your pubic hair.
Mangroomer includes 2 trimming heads with the Pro Back Shaver: one 1.8-inch ultra-wide groomer head for back shaving and one foil body groomer trimming head. Obviously, you’ll need to be using the smaller foil head since 1.8 inches would be too much for it.
While this trimmer is designed for back trimming, its extendable arm could really come in handy when trimming your pubic area. However, some people may find the arm unnecessary since you don’t need as much reach for trimming the groin.
A remarkable feature of the Pro Back Shaver is its Power Burst mode, which allows you to trim through thicker hair. This certainly is a great feature since trimmers tend to really struggle with thicker hair.
While Ultimate Pro Back Shaver really looks interesting, it has a couple of downsides you should be keeping in mind.
First off, it isn’t waterproof, so you won’t be able to use it when showering.
Secondly, it is bulky and somewhat heavy, which may make trimming your pubic area a bit inconvenient. You cannot use the trimmer folded down because you won’t be able to hold it, so you’ll have to just work with its excessive length.
Pros:
- Can trim through thicker hair with the Power Burst mode.
- Can be extended for back shaving.
- Flexing trimming head.
Cons:
- Bulky and a bit heavy.
- Not waterproof.

BAKblade 2.0 PLUS
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
BAKblade 2.0 PLUS is even a weirder-looking shaver than Mangroomer Ultimate Pro Back Shaver. However, it may be a better choice for groin shaving for some people.
Like the Pro Back Shaver, this trimmer is designed for convenient back shaving. It is a more lightweight and compact product though, so it may be a better choice for you.
While BAKblade 2.0 PLUS and Pro Back Shaver have plenty of things in common, there is one thing that makes this trimmer very different. It doesn’t operate on any batteries: instead, it is used manually just a regular razor.
No charging, no cords. Aside from that, because there isn’t any kind of motor in this thing, it is completely showerproof.
However, the biggest advantage of the manual operation of this shaver is that you have full control over it. There is no risk that the shaver will try to chew through the hair, pulling them out and irritating your skin. Everything is under your control.
The blade housing unit of the BAKblade 2.0 PLUS can be detached for more convenient shaving of body parts other than the back, including the pubic area. This certainly makes this shaver easier to use than the Pro Back Shaver.
However, keep in mind that the blade unit is 4 inches wide, so you may need to really work to get a clean trim across the entire pubic area.
There is a bigger problem in this shaver as well: its blades tend to rust in a matter of a few weeks, so you’ll have to replace them rather frequently. They are pretty cheap, but the hassle will still be there.
Pros:
- The blade unit is detachable.
- Showerproof
- Doesn’t require batteries.
- Can be used for back shaving.
Cons:
- The blades rust in a few weeks.
- The blade unit may be too wide for your liking.

Manscaped Lawn Mover 2.0
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Manscaped’s trimmer hilariously named Lawn Mower 2.0 has been specifically designed for the groin area. If you’ve tried many general-purpose trimmers and found that none worked, then this one might be the right trimmer for you. It has a couple of features that may interest you.
First off, the Lawn Mower 2.0 is designed not to pull any hair while trimming. The specially engineered blades are able to cut through thick or coarse hair without pulling or cutting. Thanks to its small teeth, it is also able to safely trim in the more sensitive areas.
Aside from the stock removable ceramic blade, Manscaped includes 2 adjustable guide combs with 4 length settings.
Manscaped also engineered this thing to be waterproof, so you’ll be able to safely use it while showering.
A remarkable feature of the Lawn Mower 2.0 is that it can be charged via USB. Manscaped even includes a USB cable with this trimmer. You’ll thereby be able to charge this trimmer anywhere as long as there is a computer nearby.
Unfortunately, Manscaped doesn’t include any charging adapters with this trimmer, so you won’t be able to charge it from a regular power outlet out of the box. For the price of this thing, you’d expect a power adapter as well.
Pros:
- Showerproof
- Comes with 2 adjustable combs.
- Designed not to pull any hair.
- Can be charged via USB.
Cons:
- No charging adapter included.

Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 3100 BG2034 Trimmer
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 3100 BG2034 trimmer combines the benefits of the examined back trimmers and regular shavers.
Out of the box, this trimmer works just like a trimmer with not so many fancy features. But once you attach the included back shaving accessory, you’ll be able to take care of your back as well.
Compared with the two back shavers we reviewed – Mangroomer Ultimate Pro Back Shaver and BAKblade 2.0 – we think that the removable handle attachment makes this thing more practical and convenient. BAKblade 2.0 also had a removable handle, but it requires some getting used to, which isn’t the case with the BG2034.
Aside from the back trimming attachment, Philips includes 3 combs for 3, 5, and 7mm body hair lengths.
The trimming head of BG2034 is hypo-allergenic, so men with sensitive skin should be able to safely use it. In addition, this thing doesn’t tend to pull hair, though it still may do that if you aren’t careful.
Philips BG2034 trimmer operates on a battery with a 50-minute runtime, which is good enough. Its charging time is a bit long though – 8 hours – so you may need to wait for quite some time before doing a full trimming session.
Needless to say, BG2034 trimmer is waterproof and can be used while showering.
The main downside of this trimmer is its blade: it doesn’t work very long and dulls in a matter of several weeks, so you’ll need to think about pricey replacements sooner or later.
Pros:
- Comes with a removable back trimming attachment.
- 3 combs included.
- Waterproof
- Hypoallergenic trimming head.
Cons:
- The blade wears quickly.

Panasonic ER-GK60-S Electric Body Hair Trimmer and Groomer for Men
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Panasonic ER-GK60-S trimmer doesn’t come with any back shaving attachments, but it has something else to boast. You might have instantly noticed that this trimmer has a unique body shape, which has several advantages.
First of all, ER-GK60-S is very ergonomic and easy to hold, so grooming your body – aside from the back – should be very convenient with this trimmer.
And besides, thanks to the V-shape of the trimming head, it is rather easy to trim hard-to-reach areas like the groin, which is the thing that interests us the most.
ER-GK60-S comes with three trimming heads-combs: one for the groin area and the two others for hair of varying lengths. You could use all of them to trim your pubic hair pretty safely.
The groin trimming head maintains a space of about 0.08 inches between the attachment and the skin. Besides, the trimming head doesn’t tend to pull hair and cut sensitive skin, which is great for groin trimming purposes.
The blades of ER-GK60-S are also hypoallergenic, which combined with the 0.08-inch space between the blades and the skin should mean that you won’t be getting any irritation while trimming.
ER-GK60-S is powered by a rechargeable battery that runs for up to 40 minutes. The charging time is long unfortunately – 8 hours, to be precise, so you’ll probably be charging this thing during the night.
The battery charging stand is quite nice though: aside from charging, it can be used to store the trimmer when not in use.
And, as you’d expect from such a pricey trimmer, ER-GK60-S is completely showerproof.
However, as we’ve just mentioned, this trimmer is quite expensive. In fact, it is the priciest groin trimmer we reviewed, but it also has the highest quality, so it’s certainly worth it.
Pros:
- Hypoallergenic trimmer blades.
- Ergonomic shape.
- V-shaped head easily grooms hard-to-reach areas.
- Comes with 3 combs.
- Completely Showerproof
Cons:
- A bit on the costlier end

MANGROOMER Professional Do-it-yourself Electric Back Hair Shaver
CHECK LATEST PRICE ON AMAZON.COM
Mangroomger Professional Do-it-yourself back shaver is the cheaper version of the Ultimate Pro Back Shaver we reviewed earlier. This shaver is designed for the same purpose – convenient back shaving – but it doesn’t have as many features to boast.
For example, this shaver doesn’t have the Power Burst mode that the Ultimate Pro shaver had. Thereby, dealing with thicker hair may be a bit more difficult with this shaver.
Aside from that, the Do-it-yourself back hair shaver’s trimming head isn’t swiveling, which will limit its convenience. Still, thanks to its extendable neck, this trimmer should be fairly easy to use when shaving the groin area.
In spite of this, because this thing costs about half the price of the Ultimate Pro shaver, it may be a better choice if you are on a budget.
Due to its similarities, this trimmer shares its disadvantages with the Pro back shaver. Namely, it is bulky, wide, and heavy, which may somewhat limit its convenience.
Besides, it isn’t waterproof, so you can’t use it while showering.
Pros:
- Rather inexpensive.
- Can be used for back trimming.
Cons:
- Not showerproof.
- Bulky and heavy.
